Ounces vs. Milliliters: Perfectly Measure Your Hair Treatments
Written by Nisha Sharma • 4 Min Read

One of the most common questions we get from our community is: "How much oil should I actually be using?"
Applying too little means your roots won't get the nourishment they need to stimulate growth. Applying too much can weigh down your hair, clog follicles, and make it difficult to wash out without harsh stripping shampoos.
The Perfect Measurement
For a standard scalp massage, you need exactly 1 to 1.5 teaspoons of warm oil. However, many people prefer to measure in milliliters (ml) for precision, especially if using a glass dropper.
To make this perfectly simple, we've included a handy volume converter below. You can easily convert teaspoons to milliliters to know exactly how much of your favorite Nisha Naturals blend to apply!
Pro Tip: If your hair is highly porous, you might need an extra half teaspoon for the ends of your hair to lock in moisture overnight. Always warm the oil slightly before applying to increase absorption.
